Dipl.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt.Ing. Andreas Knaut
has been a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Energy Economics at the University of Cologne since August 2012. In parallel, he has been a research associate at ewi ER&S since June 2015. Previously, he studied mechanical engineering and industrial engineering at the RWTH Aachen University and at the University of California Davis with focus on renewables and energy economics. During his studies he worked for several companies and research institutions in the energy sector. Mr Knaut wrote his diploma thesis at the E.ON Energy Research Center about the effects of temperature uncertainty on the financial valuation of geothermal projects. As a research associate his research primarily concerns the economic and technical modelling energy systems.
