BaSEF Online Summer School – Sustainable Smart Energy and Mobility Transition: The German and Egyptian Perspective
30.08.2021 | online | The Summer School aims to bring together renowned scholars and young researchers in the field of energy and environmental economics to discuss research advances and relevant policy issues.

The summer school backs on a healthy blend of teaching domain as well as methodical knowledge regarding energy system modeling and the energy transition. In this respect, the focus is set on the differences and similarities of the German and Egyptian energy landscape. In the course of the summer school, we shed light on the challenges associated with the decarbonization of the economy of both countries as representatives of two different world regions.

Prerequisite for participation
    • Applicants must be seeking a Ph.D. degree or in an advanced stage of his/ her Master studies. For Ph.D. holders and
      advanced Bachelor students, limited number of places are offered.
    • Participants are expected to participate in all activities throughout the week.
    • Applicants must have conducted independent research.
    • Students from Cairo, Cologne and around the globe in the fields of computer science, energy economics, information systems, industrial organization and public economics with strong interest in energy and environmental issues are encouraged to apply.
