The University of Cologne, in cooperation with the EWI, is offering the EWI Doctoral Fellowship for doctoral students in energy economics. Interested candidates can apply for the EWI Doctoral Fellowship until March 15, 2026.
The Cologne Graduate School (CGS) in Economics, Management and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne, in cooperation with the Institute of Energy Economics at the University of Cologne (EWI), is offering a fellowship program for doctoral students in energy economics. It includes training and supervision for the purpose of obtaining a doctorate or PhD at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. The scholarship is dedicated to the research topics of the EWI:
EWI Doctoral Fellows enroll in the doctoral program or PhD program at the CGS. They receive a three-year doctoral scholarship, participate in the EWI doctoral program, and have the opportunity to work part-time at the EWI.
The combination of one of CGS’s structured graduate programs with EWI’s research program and activities offers a unique academic environment. Qualified students without sufficient training in economics also receive additional training and a corresponding extension of their scholarship period (“Economics Booster”).
