Fin.Connect.NRW – “Opportunity, risk and financing of the energy transformation”
February 17, 2022 | livestream | Prof. Dr. Marc Oliver Bettzüge (EWI Director) and Dr. Johannes Wagner (EWI Manager) give impulses at the event "Fin.Connect. NRW", as part of the Fin.Connect.NRW initiative - organized by the Institute of Energy Economics at the University of Cologne, IHK NRW e.V. and the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Economics.

“Opportunity, risk and financing of the energy transformation”.

Currently, four disruptions at once are having a lasting impact on the German economy: digitalization, de-carbonization, demographics, decentralization. To cope with these changes, companies and also the state are facing a decade of investment and capital stock restructuring.

But already today, companies need to prepare their business models and digitally evolve processes and products. The transformations are changing the framework conditions of companies, currently especially corporate financing. The core topic of this event is the financing of the energy and climate change, which requires investments through all industries down to private households.

As part of the Fin.Connect.NRW initiative – organized by the Institute of Energy Economics at the University of Cologne, IHK NRW e.V. and the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Economics – we would like to discuss with you how companies are already preparing their corporate finance for this development and how politics can support them.

Following the welcoming address by the Minister of Economics, Professor Pinkwart, as well as impulses from the Institute of Energy Economics and the Boston Consulting Group, we would like to have speakers from the credit and insurance industries describe their perspectives and then enter into a discussion together about what lies ahead for companies.

We cordially invite you to a digital discussion event on February 17, 2022, from 4:30-6:30 pm. We look forward to your participation

The event is free of charge!
