Team
Pia Hoffmann-Willers is a Senior Research Associate at the EWI and a doctoral candidate at the University of Cologne. From September 2022 to February 2025, she also worked as a scientific advisor for the Council of Experts on Climate Change, which deals with greenhouse gas emission trends and the achievement of climate protection targets in Germany. Her research focuses on electricity market design and the modeling of energy systems. Before joining the EWI, Pia Hoffmann-Willers studied economics at the University of Cologne.
