The EWI Merit-Order Tool enables the determination and graphical representation of an average merit order of the German conventional power plant fleet in 2019. To represent the merit order of the conventional power plants, standard assumptions for the other parameters (fuel price, emission allowance price, transport costs, other variable costs, non-availabilities and emission factors) are defined. Users can vary the underlying assumptions to analyse and visualise the effect of changing fuel prices, power plant shutdowns/constructions or other assumptions on the merit order.
